Q1:Is a flexible solar balcony system different from a regular rooftop solar system?

A:Yes.  Solar balcony systems are compact, lightweight and plug-and-play (no complex construction), with small power (400W/800W mainstream), suitable for balconies; rooftop solar systems are large-scale, high-power, and need professional construction, only for houses with roofs.

Q2:What equipment can be driven by a 400W flexible solar system for household use?

400W is a low-power system. Under the condition of 4-5 hours of effective sunlight per day in Europe, the average daily power generation is about 1.6-2kWh, which can drive low-power loads: daily small appliances: mobile phone/laptop charging, LED lighting, router, small refrigerator (within 100W); outdoor equipment: RV air conditioner (low-power model), camping lights, portable induction cooker;

Note: It is impossible to drive high-power equipment such as electric ovens and electric water heaters, and it is necessary to avoid multiple devices starting at the same time.

Q3:What are the installation requirements for a flexible solar balcony system?

A:Only 3 simple conditions are needed:

① Your balcony has ≥4 hours of direct sunlight per day (south/east/west facing is best);

② The balcony railing/frame can bear ≥10kg/m² (our panels are lightweight, 2-3kg per panel);

③ There is a standard household socket (230V for EU, 120/240V for NA) near the balcony.

Q4:Can it be installed on a glass balcony/closed balcony?

A:Yes. For glass balconies, we provide special non-slip brackets; for closed balconies, it can be installed normally as long as there is sufficient sunlight through the glass (the power generation efficiency will be slightly reduced by about 10-15%).

Q5:There is dust or bird droppings on the surface of the flexible solar panel, will it affect the power generation? How to clean it?

A:It will affect. Dust and bird droppings will block the light and cause the power generation to drop by 5% – 20%. Cleaning method: Gently wipe with water and a soft brush to avoid using a high-pressure water gun (which may damage the surface encapsulation layer); dry areas in southern Europe can be cleaned every 1-2 months, and rainy areas in northern Europe can rely on rainwater to clean naturally without frequent care.
